Reimbursement Specialist- German Speaker

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.

To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for a: Reimbursement Specialist- German Speaker

In this role, as a Reimbursement Specialist, you are responsible for managing the application and reimbursement processes with various payers and handling the associated internal processes. The Reimbursement Specialist also assists in managing the appeals.

With the goal of securing approvals for therapy treatments and ensuring the company's success, the Reimbursement Specialist works closely with different teams and departments.

Your responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to optimize the application and reimbursement processes.
• Submit reimbursement requests for initial and follow-up therapy with Optune.
• Consistently follow up on outstanding approvals.
• Manage and submit appeals within the legal framework. Support the Global Medical Support team with medical appeals.
• Assist with case-related inquiries regarding all collecting activities.
• Accurately document the steps taken and the results of the reimbursement process in the ERP system.
• Identify and communicate opportunities for process optimization under supervision, ensure that activities comply with Novocure’s quality management system requirements.
• Actively take on projects and additional tasks assigned to the team by the (line) manager as needed.
• Recognize and escalate challenges and opportunities in contract management, implementation of medical policies and conduct research on health insurance policies.

Your profile:

• Experience: About 3-5 years in reimbursement or/and collections process
• Soft Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management, assertiveness(especially when working with payers), ability to plan and prioritize work tasks, solution-orientation.
• Language: Fluency in German (C1) and communicative English (~B2)
• Team Collaboration: A people-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working with diverse teams.
• Technical Skills: Good knowledge of MS Excel and the MS Office suite; familiarity with SAP and SAP CRM is an advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above would be a plus
• Additionally: It would be a great advantage if you'd have an experience in a medical device/equipment company, health insurance, medical background (e.g. medical assistant or secretary, nurse, medical coordinator, preferably in oncology) and good knowledge of the local healthcare systems (NFZ).
