Junior RTR Accountant

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.

To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for a:

Junior RTR Accountant

In this role as a Junior RTR Accountant your are responsible for assisting the European Accounting team with the monthly close, account reconciliation, inventory and COGS analysis, ad hoc projects as requested. This role will involve interaction with operational departments. This is a position reporting to the RTR Manager and is based in Krakow, Poland.

Your responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses for cash, inventory, cost of sales, accrued expenses, deferred rent, and other accounts as necessary
• Complete monthly, quarterly and year end reporting schedules
• Prepare audit schedules and analyses as requested by external auditors
• Assist the EMEA Head of Accounting in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
• Assist the EMEA Senior Accounts in developing and maintaining internal financial controls

Your profile:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

• 1+ years of general accounting experience, Big 4 public accounting experience a plus
• CPA certification (preferred)             
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain financial controls and accounting policies and procedures
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with SAP (preferred)
• Understanding of accounting rules and procedures, including US GAAP
• Fluent in English, Both written and spoken as this is the primary language; any further languages are of benefit
