Physics Student

 

 

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa. 
The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.

 

We are looking for a student to join the physics group in our R&D center, Haifa, Israel.

The physics group is leading an effort to develop a new field of research:  Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) dosimetry and treatment planning.

As a student, you will support the research activities of the group.

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform numerical simulations of TTFields interaction with the human body.
  • Help to develop algorithms and codes to support simulation infrastructure.
  • Participate in the analysis of simulation results.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree student, preferably in Physics / Electrical engineering / Mechanical engineering/ Aerospace engineering / Biomedical engineering / Material sciences / Combin degree in Computer science.

 

 

  • Knowledge:
    • Balance of studies -  minimum  1.5 years.
    • Available for at least 20 weekly hours.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Team-player.
    • Excellent communication skills in both English and Hebrew.
    • Experience with finite element method (FEM) simulation software is an advantage.
    • Proficiency with Python is an advantage.
