Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.
To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for an:
Global Master Data Lead
This role is pivotal to ensuring data integrity, supporting business transformation, and enabling efficient decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Director Novocure Poland, Site Lead Shared Services, you will lead the creation, maintenance, and optimization of master data (finance, supply chain, human resource, sales and marketing and other domains), drive process improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders globally.
Global Master Data Lead should be a strong and proactive expert with a transformational mindset and strong master data (MD) management transformation delivery record. This individual will be in charge of redesign MD strategy and structure with the global teams, manage delivery of MD projects across the Company, as well as manage smaller Continuous Improvement initiatives. As a result, this role will improve the way people work, elevate user experience and efficiency of work. This person will use his/her experience in process transformation and technology application to increase quality of master data and enable data driven decision making.
Your responsibilities:
- Master Data Management:
- Act as a global MD expert, ensuring high-quality master data for the relevant processes
- Design and execute MD processes and policies
- Create and maintain master data objects (e.g. Finance RtR, Vendors, Supply Chain).
- Perform data quality checks, define metrics, and implement governance frameworks to safeguard data accuracy and integrity.
- Provide MD guidance for business projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery aligned with objectives.
- Champion self-service tools for MD requests and financial data reporting.
- Partner with third-party service providers and internal teams (finance, IT, procurement) to support seamless operations.
- Document, educate and train other members of MD team, functions and the business on how to use MD processes and tools effectively
- Process Improvement and Automation:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on automating MD processes to enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to refine workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Analyze and resolve master data discrepancies, proposing innovative solutions for process optimization.
- Project and Change Management:
- Lead MDM transformation projects, focusing on delivering operational excellence and elevating patient experience.
- Drive change management initiatives to support new or updated processes, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Support compliance with data regulations and governance frameworks.
Your profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in master data management,
• Experience in leadership or project management roles that require collaboration and exposure to senior leaders
• Strong experience in finance master data within SAP environments (e.g., S/4 HANA, FI/CO, MM). Experience in SFA or Veeva is a big plus
• Proficient in MD management tools (e.g., Informatica, SAP MDG or similar systems) and advanced data analytics with MS Excel.
• Skilled in end-to-end business processes, automation technologies, and data governance frameworks
• Knowledge of compliance regulations related to financial and master data management is a plus.
• Familiar with working in SoX controlled environment
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
