Description: 

The Regional Business Director, US Thoracic (RBD - Northeast) will be a key member of the US Sales Leadership team. The RBD will be responsible for attracting, developing, inspiring, and retaining a high performing team focused on accelerating the launch and driving awareness of Tumor Treating Fields in NSCLC within an assigned region.  The Regional Business Director will work closely with commercial leadership, marketing, operations, market access, patient advocacy, patient support services, and medical affairs to ensure alignment and to meet corporate objectives. We are seeking an individual with a demonstrated track record of fostering a motivating work environment and leading a high performing sales teams to exceed ambitious sales objectives with a complex therapeutic.

 

This is a full time, exempt, field based position that reports to the National Sales Director, US Thoracic. Ideal candidates will be located near a major international or regional airport in the Northeast United States of America.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Launch and drive commercial device adoption of Tumor Treating Fields in NSCLC
  • Lead Territory Managers to meet or exceed quarterly Rx goals, thus contributing to achievement of corporate sales objectives
  • Lead Key Account Managers to meet or exceed sales goals and MBO’s in strategic accounts
  • Lead a team of Practice Educators with their key objective of providing device and patient education to key stakeholders within the accounts
  • Attend & support key planning and leadership meetings upon request from Senior Leadership
  • Strategic Agility - Demonstrates adaptability & improves job performance by incorporating innovative ideas to expand business opportunities & growth
  • Lead and develop team members to support organizational goals
  • Ability to establish and execute consistent coaching and feedback mechanism;  Demonstrated ability to provide clear direction, set expectations and hold team accountable
  • Ensure team drives awareness & affects behavior change through full utilization of all approved resources: marketing materials; people resources and programs
  • Support field based promotion and account management activities directed to oncology health care professionals in academic and community settings
  • Develop an integrated business plan for the region leveraging key customer and marketplace insights along with Novocure resources
  • Support key medical meetings and regional sponsorship events
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration amongst cross-functional partners to support the business:  medical affairs, device support specialists, marketing, finance, revenue operations, market access, sales operations, and Learning & Development
  • Utilization of approved reports to analyze region business/sales trends; proactively identifying regional business opportunities; Analytics to guide strategy and support key business decisions

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • 3+ years of oncology experience required, experience in lung cancer and/or complex therapeutics preferred
  • 4+ years of first-line leadership required OR 6+ years of proven oncology/device/complex therapeutic sales success and documented completion of a company-sponsored management development program required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Proven track record of building and leading a strong team that consistently meets or exceeds regional sales objectives
  • Demonstration of ability to hire strong talent, develop and motivate Regional sales team with minimal attrition over tenure

  • Ability to travel 40-60% of time regionally
