JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Mendix Development will work across teams to design, develop, and implement Applications leveraging Mendix low-code / no-code platform as part of the Integration and Development team within Enterprise Technology. This candidate will collaborate with internal teams and work with external consultants when needed to deliver web and mobile solutions for Novocure’s various business units. 

The Senior Manager, Mendix Development will be responsible for developing and maintaining solutions built upon the Mendix platform, as well as responsible for integrating with SAP, Mulesoft and a wide variety of systems internally. This role will also be required to build processes to account for change control, governance and development of best practices for all Mendix applications built for internal and external use.

This role will be leading all Mendix development for Novocure, as well as managing any 3rd party vendors and partners that assist in the development and delivery of Mendix applications. An ideal candidate will be one who is not only an expert on the Mendix platform, but one that is able to fit into a multitude of delivery models (e.g., agile, waterfall), and work cross-functionally with numerous other functional and technical teams in order to develop complex solutions.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director, Integration and Development in the Chesterbrook, PA office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical leadership and development projects on the Mendix Platform
• Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders ensuring correct and effective on-time implementation of custom developed solutions
• Own the design, development, and delivery of all applications that are built on the Mendix Platform
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, including refinement and retrospective meetings along with complementary technical and development teams
• Solve complex business challenges through custom built technology
• Ensuring the standards, guidelines, and code quality criteria are met in every phase of delivery
• Assist in technical POCs to create innovative technical solutions to solve business challenges
• Understanding of Java, Messaging, Web APIs – SOAP, REST, ODATA and authentication methods such as OAuth and SAML
• Experience with Services Oriented Architecture and RESTful Architecture, web services development
• Strong understanding normalized data structures and optimized data design for new applications

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
• Mendix Development Expert certification
• 10+ years in IT or related field
• 5+ years of experience working in enterprise application development
• 5+ years of experience with leading Mendix development projects
• Experience with Mendix platform management, leveraging both Mendix for Private Cloud and Mendix Public Cloud offerings
• Hands-on development experience in building complex domain models, integrations, and front end capabilities on the Mendix Platform
• Experience with various extension frameworks and technologies, such as Java, React, TypeScript
• Experience in unit test creation and building automated testing scenarios
• Experience and understanding of complete software development lifecycle
• Experience in implementing security aspects including API security, authentication, and authorization
• Experience in designing performant, scalable, fault-tolerant and highly available application architecture
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD concepts and build pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, git, docker, ansible, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience using iterative development practices
