Description:

At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Senior Director, Global Strategy and Program Management, you'll play a key part in this mission.

The Senior Director, Global Strategy and Program Management is a highly visible leadership role responsible for shaping and driving the integrated strategy for selected programs across Novocure's portfolio. Reporting to the SVP, R&D Portfolio Strategy, this individual serves as the Global Program Leader (GPL) and strategic lead for assigned tumor programs, bringing together development, regulatory, medical, commercial, and market access perspectives into a unified vision and execution plan.

This role requires a leader who can seamlessly move between long-term strategic planning and hands-on execution—setting the vision for a program while ensuring the organization delivers against it. The successful candidate will become the recognized leader for their programs across the organization, representing strategy, progress, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership and ensuring alignment across the Program Development Team (PDT) and broader organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Global Program Leader, you will drive the development and execution of integrated tumor strategies that maximize clinical, regulatory, and commercial value while advancing Novocure's mission to transform outcomes for patients with cancer.

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution for assigned oncology programs, with primary responsibility for CNS and Lung Cancer indications.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans that align clinical development, regulatory strategy, evidence generation, commercialization planning, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Serve as the strategic leader of the Program Development Team (PDT), fostering alignment across Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Commercial, Market Access, and other key functions.
  • Translate complex scientific, clinical, and business insights into actionable program strategies and clear organizational priorities.
  • Partner closely with functional leaders to ensure robust development plans, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and drive execution against strategic objectives.
  • Build organizational capability by guiding and influencing cross-functional team members, helping elevate strategic thinking and program leadership across the PDT.
  • Define tumor-specific strategies, including indication prioritization, sequencing, lifecycle planning, and evidence generation approaches aligned with patient needs and market opportunity.
  • Lead program governance activities, including preparation of recommendations and decision-making materials for Executive Leadership Team discussions and strategic reviews.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage program risks, developing mitigation and contingency plans to support successful delivery.
  • Serve as the central strategic voice and representative for assigned programs, ensuring consistent communication, alignment, and visibility across stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level presentations that communicate program strategy, progress, risks, opportunities, and key decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of program leadership, governance, and strategic planning processes across the portfolio.
