JOB SUMMARY:

The MuleSoft Lead, Integration and Development will work across teams to design, develop, and implement integrations and APIs using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform as part of the Integration and Development team within Enterprise Technology. This candidate will collaborate with internal teams and work with external consultants when needed.

The Senior MuleSoft Lead, Integration and Development will be responsible for owning MuleSoft technical architecture, platform standards, and integrations with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems. This role will also build processes for change control, governance, and development of best practices for APIs and integrations used across Novocure's business units.

This role will lead all MuleSoft development for Novocure, acting as a hands-on player-coach for the MuleSoft developer team. The Senior MuleSoft Lead will serve as the primary technical reviewer for MuleSoft work in partnership with engineering managers, mentor developers, and reduce dependency on management for routine technical decisions. The Senior MuleSoft Lead should be comfortable using modern AI tools such as ChatGPT and Cursor securely to improve delivery, documentation, and team processes.

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director, Integration and Development, based in Poland (hybrid).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical leadership for the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including architecture, best practices, standards, guidelines, and roadmaps
• Lead all MuleSoft technical deliverables; own platform architecture, API-led design, and delivery of integrations and APIs
• Build processes for change control, governance, and best practices; create reusable artifacts, standards, templates, and patterns
• Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders ensuring correct and effective on-time implementation of integration solutions
• Lead and mentor MuleSoft developers; serve as primary technical reviewer for design, code, and release readiness with engineering managers
• Drive CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, YAML), Maven processes, MUnit strategy, Git standards, and Definition of Done
• Own proactive monitoring and observability for MuleSoft integrations using Datadog, Anypoint Monitoring, and platform health checks
• Integrate with SAP S/4 (OData APIs) and other backend systems; handle production issues, escalations, and root-cause analysis
• Solve complex business challenges through integration solutions; participate in sprint ceremonies; assist in technical POCs
• Experience in Core Java, Messaging (JMS), Web API - SOAP, REST, ODATA and authentication methods such as OAuth and SAML

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
• MuleSoft Integration/Platform Architect certifications preferred
• 6+ years in IT or related field
• 4+ years of experience working in enterprise application integration or development
• 4+ years of experience with MuleSoft Product and features
• Experience with Anypoint platform set-up including identity management, client management, roles and access, environment, VPC, and cloud concepts
• Hands-on development experience in Mule 4.x including RAML design, REST API design, Flow, Sub flow, connectors, error handling, batch processing, Dataweave 2.x, MUnits, etc.
• Experience with various deployment options in MuleSoft (CloudHub 2.0, on-premise, RTF, and private cloud)
• Experience in MuleSoft MUnit and building automated testing scenarios
• Experience with proactive monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog and Anypoint Monitoring
• Experience and understanding of complete API lifecycle
• Experience in implementing security aspects including API security, authentication, authorization, message and transport-level security
• Experience in designing performant, scalable, fault-tolerant and highly available application architecture
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD concepts and build pipelines using Azure DevOps, Maven, git, etc.
• Comfort using AI tools (such as ChatGPT and Cursor) with awareness of secure use, data handling, and validation of AI output
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
