JOB SUMMARY:

Manager, Learning & Development – Patient Experience plays a vital role in shaping how Novocure develops, engages, and empowers its US-based, HCP-facing field teams. This role is responsible for designing, delivering, and measuring innovative learning strategies and development programs that strengthen clinical expertise, enhance skills, and build leadership capability.

 

We are looking for a passionate learning professional who thrives at the intersection of instructional design, project management, and facilitation who can bring learning to life through both live and virtual environments.

This is a full-time, exempt, tied to the Chesterbrook office reporting to the Director, Learning and Development.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Instructional Design & Development
    Create engaging, evidence-based learning experiences that integrate adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and multimedia learning tools.
  • Facilitation & Delivery
    Confidently lead both live (in-person) and virtual training sessions that foster collaboration, discussion, and skill application.
  • Project Management
    Leverage strong organizational skills to scope, plan, and deliver multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring programs are executed on time and with excellence.
  • Learning Needs Assessment
    Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, medical, and others) to identify capability gaps and design tailored learning solutions.
  • Program Innovation
    Apply a blended learning approach that uses varied delivery methods—classroom, virtual, field-based, and self-directed—to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Collaboration & Alignment
    Build strong partnerships with subject matter experts and leaders to co-create high-value learning initiatives that drive performance.
  • Measurement & Continuous Improvement
    Use analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness, track learning trends, and continuously enhance impact.
  • Culture of Learning
    Champion ongoing development by embedding learning as a natural part of Novocure’s culture and employee experience.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • 5+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare-related industries (sales, clinical education, sales leadership, marketing, or training).
  • 2+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with proven expertise in instructional design and facilitation (live and virtual).
  • Oncology experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Education, Learning, Organizational Development, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept to completion while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional oral/written communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience managing vendors and leveraging technology platforms for learning solutions.
  • Passion for helping people learn, grow, and achieve their potential.
