AI Innovation Intern – Marketing

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an AI Innovation Intern to help design and build next-generation AI solutions for marketing and customer experience. This is a hands-on, highly technical role where you’ll experiment, prototype, and develop AI agents that can plan campaigns, generate content, and interact with real-world data.

You’ll work on building practical AI systems - not just concepts - to help shape how automation and intelligence can be applied in a regulated healthcare environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Design and develop multi-agent AI systems where specialized agents collaborate to solve complex tasks
• Build MVPs using LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and orchestration framework Develop AI agents to support:
  • Marketing strategy and messaging across the customer journey
  • Content and cretive recommendations (email, digital, etc.)
  • Customer interaction and response workflows
• Integrate enterprise data sources (documents, APIs, historical content) into AI workflows
• Build conversational agents grounded in internal data (e.g., transcripts, training materials)
• Implement guardrails for compliance and brand alignment in generated outputs
• Define evaluation frameworks to measure quality, consistency, and performance
• Test, iterate, and improve models and system performance
• Document system architecture, design decisions, and learnings

ABOUT YOU

You’re a builder who enjoys turning ideas into working systems. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, excited about AI, and eager to experiment with emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred
• Ability to commit to full-time hours during the internship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building LLM applications, AI agents, or RAG-based systems
• Familiarity with frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar
• Understanding of prompt engineering and agent orchestration
• Experience working with APIs, vector databases, or data pipelines
• Exposure to evaluating and improving AI outputs
• Interest in marketing, content generation, or applied AI in real-world settings

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

• Built or contributed to a working multi-agent AI prototype
• Developed systems that integrate real data and workflows
• Helped establish foundations for scalable AI solutions
• Demonstrated ability to iterate quickly and improve system performance

HOW YOU’LL WORK

• Full-time internship (approx. 3 months) with potential to extend part-time
• Hybrid (Wayne, PA or Portsmouth, NH) or remote flexibility for strong candidates
• Collaborative, fast-paced environment within Digital Marketing
