Verification and Validation Test Technician Lead

Verification and Validation Test Technician Lead, Location: Cracow, office-based role – Lab,  Full time role, permanent position (contract of employment)

At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As a Verification and Validation Test Technician Lead you will support Novocure’s product development activities by accurately performing test procedures, identifying defects, and reporting test results. In addition, you will be managing other Technicians and maintaining the Cracow V&V lab, including coordinating test activities to support multiple project deadlines and managing test equipment to ensure proper calibration and use.

What You’ll Do

• Line Manager to V&V Test Technicians
• Oversee test execution for multiple projects, according to company priorities
• Proactively report all test statuses and results
• Maintain testing equipment and calibration status to ensure all QMS processes are followed for test equipment
• Ensure the organization of the V&V lab supports the test workflow, including lab layout and equipment availability
• Responsible for maintaining neat and professional work environment in the lab
• Maintain test equipment knowledge base, including training other members and authoring reference guides for common uses of testing equipment (Incubator, LCR Meter, Water Bath)
• Review and execute test plans and test procedures and prepare test reports
• Report defects to development teams and help troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Novocure engineering and V&V team members
• Support audits related to V&V, as needed (includes FDA, TUV, internal audits)

About You

To thrive in this role if you will need these essential qualifications:

• 5+ years of QA experience including product functional testing

• Proven ability to manage other team members
• Technical training or equivalent experience
• V&V for medical device experience, or V&V in a related field with similar controls

• Highly proficient with measuring instruments (e.g. calipers, DMM, oscilloscope, etc.)
• Experience with black-box software testing is a plus
• Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
• Organized and strong attention to detail, highly motivated, self-learner, and responsible
• Able to work in a team environment and execute responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
• Able to balance completion of assigned tasks with supporting requests and questions from other team members

What We Offer

The annual base salary ranges from 156-184 000 PLN gross per annum.

This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
