Territory Manager, Thoracic

Field-Based / Full Time / Columbus, OH

Every role here contributes to that mission - and as Territory Manager, Thoracic, you'll help expand access to an innovative therapeutic modality in lung cancer by building strong relationships with oncology practices and healthcare professionals across your territory.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced oncology sales professional to oversee sales and account management across leading academic institutions and large and mid-size community oncology practices within an assigned territory. You will operate in a dynamic, evolving environment, helping establish and expand Novocure's presence while delivering against business objectives and supporting a strong customer experience.

This is a full-time, exempt, field-based position reporting to the Thoracic Regional Business Director. The ideal candidate is independent, resourceful, collaborative, and motivated by performance excellence and a genuine passion for improving patient outcomes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support the launch of a new therapeutic modality in the lung cancer space.

• Lead field-based sales and promotional activities with oncology healthcare professionals and key stakeholders, including medical oncologists and supporting staff.

• Develop and execute territory account plans using a collaborative team approach to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

• Execute corporate and regional strategies across the assigned geography to achieve business objectives.

• Identify new business opportunities to build and grow HCP prescribing within approved labeling in the territory.

• Build confidence in Tumor Treating Fields through approved branded and unbranded promotional materials.

• Provide in-customer support related to reimbursement and billing activities.

• Collaborate closely with internal partners across Medical, Marketing, Clinical Education, Market Access, and Patient Services.

• Use internal tools and data-driven insights to identify market trends and account activity, refine territory strategies, and optimize results.

• Serve as a passionate advocate for patients and support continuity of care by partnering with prescribing physicians and clinical staff on appropriate patient case reviews.

• Maintain timely and accurate account and CRM records and comply with all Novocure policies, SOPs, and guidelines.

ABOUT YOU

You are an accomplished field sales professional who understands the oncology environment and can build trusted relationships across complex accounts. You are comfortable balancing strategic territory planning with hands-on execution, working independently with sound judgment, and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

You bring strong communication and problem-solving skills, adapt quickly to changing customer and business needs, and use market insights to identify opportunities and drive performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Life Sciences, Business, or Healthcare.

• Field sales experience in oncology and/or complex therapeutics.

• 3-5 years of oncology sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Experience selling to both academic centers and community practices.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with medical professionals, especially medical oncologists and healthcare teams.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex sales situations.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in healthcare and the medical device industry.

• Ability to manage an assigned territory with responsibility for sales, local marketing, reimbursement, and technical support functions.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced organization with minimal supervision, sound judgment, and strong decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and collaborate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Superior oral and written communication skills and the ability to adjust quickly to business needs and customer demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in device sales.

• In-depth understanding of lung cancer, its treatments, and the oncology market.

• An established network and relationships within the oncology community.

• Basic understanding of the clinical aspects of lung cancer treatment.

• Comfort utilizing and presenting technological solutions related to a medical device.

• Experience in market analysis and identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities.

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current on advancements in oncology and medical devices.

HOW YOU'LL WORK

• Field-based role with regular travel throughout the assigned territory.

• Travel approximately 40-60% of the time on a weekly basis, with occasional travel outside the territory.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

• Local candidates only; no relocation assistance is provided.

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

 

WHAT WE OFFER

This pay range which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting is $120,000 - $160,000/yr. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant in addition to a full range of benefits. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
