Tender Specialist

 

In this role as Tender Specialist (internally called Reimbursement Specialist), you are responsible for managing the tender process, from document preparation to submitting through the national and regional official platform (MEPA and regional procurement official tools). You will also be responsible for following the Local Health Authorities approval and renewal processes, establishing medical necessity to obtaining payer approvals, managing the invoicing process and payment collections to minimize the financial burden for patients and maximize the financial outcomes for Novocure.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key personnel within Local Health Authorities administrative offices to streamline the approval processing for future patients
  • Write and submit requests to payers for approval and financial coverage, from the initial application to approval extensions on a case-by-case basis
  • Accurately document activities and outcomes of the reimbursement process in SAP system
  • Consistently follow up on pending medical necessity approvals
  • Monitor the orders and manage the invoice process, from the creation to the submission through the official platform
  • Assist with resolving all incorrect payments and escalate trended changes in payor behaviour as identified
  • Manage and submit appeals within the legal framework


Your profile:

  • 2+ years of experience in a medical device, DME, or health company
  • Knowledge of the local healthcare system preferred (Local Health Authorities)
  • Familiarity with complex tender documents, invoicing and medical terminology (specific to oncology preferred)
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems preferred
  • Fluent English level (spoken and written)
  • Fluent to native level on Italian
