Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Currently we are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our office in Cracow, Poland.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading technology-driven initiatives across multiple business units, ensuring projects are executed effectively to enable scalability and support patient growth. This role partners with business and clinical teams to translate core processes into actionable technical solutions, while driving alignment, governance, and delivery within the project portfolio. 

Key responsibilities include creating and managing detailed project plans, establishing project governance frameworks, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely communication and delivery of milestones. The Technical Project Manager will own assigned projects end-to-end, from planning through delivery, while ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and business needs. 

The role requires cultivating strong partnerships with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gain a deep understanding of workflows and challenges. The Technical Project Manager will oversee technical risks, ensure project alignment within ET, and deliver solutions that are technically sound, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into the organization’s systems and strategies. Additionally, this role will participate in communication of project objectives, value realization, and business cases to executive leadership to secure stakeholder alignment and drive project success. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Lead and support business process design, mapping, and optimization to drive efficiency and scalability. 

  • Maintain alignment of project scope, schedule, budget, and technical integrity with established tolerances. 

  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset across the organization. 

  • Solve complex business challenges by applying technical expertise, project leadership, and innovative problem-solving approaches. 

  • Partner with product engineering and cross-functional teams to deliver technology solutions that enhance the patient experience and support business growth. 

  • Manage project sponsors and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, and outcomes. 

  • Establish and maintain project governance frameworks for effective oversight and decision-making. 

  • Define and manage project communication strategies, ensuring transparency across leadership, teams, and stakeholders. 

  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project and technical risks, issues, and changes, escalating as needed to senior management. 

  • Supports sprint planning, backlog refinement, and technical workshops. 

  • Drive issue resolution and conflict management through structured escalation processes. 

  • Develop and document roles, responsibilities, and resource plans for project teams. 

  • Create and execute comprehensive project, hypercare, and implementation plans. 

  • Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, risk, dependencies, and constraints, ensuring successful delivery. 

  • Lead Change Management and Business Readiness efforts, preparing stakeholders and end-users for adoption. 

  • Deliver projects according to established milestones and success metrics. 

  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 

  • 6–7 years of professional experience in technology project management, program management, or related roles within highly respected technology, biotech, consulting, or healthcare firms. 

  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional technical projects from inception through delivery. 

  • Strong skills in project governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication with demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leadership. 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentations to executives and cross-functional teams. 

  • Experience in medical technology, specialty pharmaceuticals, or durable medical equipment strongly preferred. 

  • Familiarity with multi-national corporate environments and global project delivery. 

  • Industry certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, or equivalent) preferred. 

  • Excellent proficiency in English in both speaking and writing. Additional language will be an asset.  

 

COMPENSATION:

The annual base salary ranges from 210.000 PLN to 290.000 PLN yearly*.

This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
