Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Currently we are looking for a Senior Manager, Solution Architect to join our office in Cracow, Poland. This is a hybrid role and requires office presence 3 times per week.

This a permament role and the person is going to be hired for the contract of employment (umowa o pracę).

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Solution Architecture is responsible for leading solution design across the enterprise technology landscape, ensuring scalable, secure, and future-ready architectures that enable evolving business needs. This role provides architectural leadership across SAP S/4, Veeva platforms, custom-built applications, and emerging technologies, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native design, event-driven architectures, and modernization of legacy systems.

This leader will partner closely with business stakeholders, delivery teams, and technology leadership to solve complex problems through thoughtful system design, integration strategy, and architectural governance—balancing innovation with operational stability.

This position is reporting to the Director, Enterprise Architecture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Solution Architecture & Design

  • Own and lead end-to-end solution architecture for complex, cross-domain initiatives spanning SAP S/4, Veeva systems, custom applications, and enterprise integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure solution designs aligned with enterprise standards and long-term roadmaps.
  • Design architectures leveraging cloud-native capabilities, including microservices, APIs, event-driven patterns, and platform services.
  • Design data models and data flows aligned to enterprise integration patterns, ensuring consistent handling of master, reference, and transactional data.
  • Drive architectural decisions for modernization and migration of legacy and outdated technologies to meet performance, scalability, and business agility goals.
  • Work with AI team to continue assessing AI solutions in the market and ensuring best of breed AI technologies can fit within Novocure’s technology ecosystem.

Enterprise Integration & Technology Strategy

  • Collaboratively define and govern integration patterns across enterprise platforms (SAP, Veeva, custom systems, cloud services).
  • Lead adoption of event-driven architectures, messaging, and asynchronous processing where appropriate.
  • Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, security standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Work as part of the Enterprise Architecture practice to influence technology standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to align solution architecture with business process design, driving simplification, scalability, and efficiency.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted architectural advisor to business leaders, product owners, and delivery teams.
  • Lead and mentor solution architects and senior technical contributors, fostering strong design practices and architectural rigor.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, platform, data, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure cohesive end-to-end solutions.
  • Provide architectural input to portfolio planning, investment decisions, and vendor evaluations.

Governance & Delivery Enablement

  • Establish and participate in architecture reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and reuse across initiatives.
  • Balance speed of delivery with long-term sustainability, technical debt management, and operational excellence.
  • Support delivery teams during implementation to ensure architectural intent is realized in production.

Required Qualifications

Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in solution or enterprise architecture, with 3+ years of leadership responsibilities.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing solutions across SAP S/4 and enterprise ERP landscapes.
  • Strong experience with Veeva platforms and regulated enterprise systems.
  • Proven ability to design and integrate custom-built applications in complex, heterogeneous environments.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-native architectures, including APIs, microservices, and event-driven patterns.
  • Demonstrated success modernizing and migrating legacy technologies to modern platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in life sciences, regulated industries, or global enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with integration platforms, middleware, and event streaming technologies.
  • Formal architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF, cloud architecture certifications) are a plus.

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead complex discussions across business and IT stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to influence strategy and drive consensus in matrixed environments.

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE: 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred)

COMPENSATION:

The annual base salary ranges from 347.018 PLN to 424,134 PLN yearly*.

This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
