Senior Manager, Global Indirect Sourcing
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Global Indirect Sourcing is responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, category management and contract life cycle management within the Global Professional Services, Commercial and Global Medical Affairs departments. The role will support all spending categories under professional services, commercial and medical affairs, which are not clinical, globally. The role will also focus on spending categories related to new market access.
The Senior Manager will be an integral part of the Global Sourcing organization and work closely with the Business and Operations leadership to drive best total value for Novocure.
Global Sourcing is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships within business entities or across enterprise to achieve best total value. It includes Category and or Commodity management strategies with the goal of achieving significant cost reductions and improving product quality and vendor service level. Indirect Procurement includes commodities such as Professional Services, Marketing, Facilities, Logistics, Travel & Entertainment and Information Technology & Telecommunication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Strategic Sourcing efforts for Novocure Commercial Department to include Marketing Promotions, Field Sales, Public Relations, Advocacy, Creative, Media, KOL Speaker Programs, Digital Infrastructure, Market Access, Care Center, etc.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing efforts for Novocure Medical Affairs Department to include Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Publications, Strategy, and Congress Presence.
- Lead Strategic Sourcing efforts for Novocure Professional Services to include Human Resources, Finance and Legal.
- Develop and deliver the category strategies aligned with Novocure corporate strategy and Supply Chain KPIs; to include identify and implement cost-down risk-reduction, and/or service-enhancing opportunities by sourcing (including qualification and selection of new providers) and negotiation with vendors for the purchasing of materials, suppliers, equipment, and services used by Novocure globally.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders to identify Contractual needs and opportunities for enhanced service offering, providing Novocure with a competitive advantage, working directly with our agencies, consultants, and suppliers outlining partnership expectations consistent with Company Quality and Procurement policies.
- Access and utilize all relevant market intelligence to stay current on facts impacting future models and strategies, as well as monitor the competitive landscape to keep abreast of emerging trends, supply/demand, industry changes and their overall impact to current and anticipated spend.
- Effectively communicate the sourcing strategies, spend analytics, as well as market intelligence to key stakeholders on a routine or as-needed basis.
- Develop and implement sustainable SRM and vendor governance program.
- Drive supplier-ESG-related initiatives in alignment with corporate goals.
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Finance and/or business administration or equivalent
- 7 years of Indirect Procurement/Sourcing experience
- Experience in Marketing Operations, Brand Management, Agency Management, Professional Services & HR (payroll, talents, compensation and benefits, etc.)
- Deep experience with sourcing processes and tools including the 7-step sourcing process
Knowledge:
- Demonstrate knowledge of agency operations, and preferably, experience working with advertising agencies in from a life sciences organizational capacity
- Knowledge of best demonstrated practices in structuring agency and professional contracts. Awareness of client-agency and medialadvertising & HR legal environments
- Knowledge of professional services market and supplier landscape
- Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with various internal/external stakeholders, with exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments, arriving at and executing an action plan consistent with corporate objectives
- Manage stakeholder relationships (both intercompany and externally) and rebalance business mindset with respect to adherence of policies while respecting all parties' business objectives and adding value. Specific required and preferred skills:
- Contract Negotiating / execution experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in SAP or other ERP system (direct SAP experience a plus)
- Proficient with MS Office suite
