Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.

 

 

To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for an:

Purchasing Operations Associate

 

In this role you are responsible for coordinating, optimizing, monitoring and ensuring compliance of the Purchasing Activities. This position is directly responsible for all local sourcing, direct and indirect procurement activities and availability of warehouse supplies

 

Your responsibilities:

    • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, process compliance and cost efficiency through excellence in Purchasing system support
    • Support the day-to-day purchasing activities within the Ariba system and S4 Hana
    • Manage supplier evaluation and classification, as well as performance, including administration of supplier score carding program for in-scope suppliers
    • Source new or alternate suppliers and manage supplier portfolio, if required
    • Negotiate terms for goods and services
    • Verify purchase requisition accuracy including adherence to the established signature authorizations, and procurement best-practices for supplier selection, payment terms, payment schedules, and work scope
    • Generate Purchase Requisitions on request.
    • Maintain PO's in Novocure ERP systems as required
    • Analyze messages from MRP system and place or expedite orders in a timely manner
    • Work closely with the warehouse and planning department to ensure product availability
    • Coordinate with Quality department regarding Product questions / support, and NCMR / Quality resolution
    • Assist with departmental audit-related requests
    • In close collaboration with finance, generate month end reports and support the close.
    • Support the collection and analysis of internal feedback to continuously improve the purchase-to-pay system, including escalations as needed
    • Support development of on-going training and communication programs with internal customer groups. This includes new employee training.

 

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in business, purchasing or computer science
  • Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years’ of direct/indirect purchasing experience
  • Proficient in SAP Business Network / Ariba OR equivalent business software
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to communicate and influence people at all levels of the organization as well as external contacts
  • Basic knowledge of medical device or pharma industry preferred but not a must
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken is a must as this is the Primary working language; any further languages are of benefit
