JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Patient Administration plays a key role in advancing productivity and progress across various teams and markets within the Patient Administration sector of Revenue Operations. This role involves managing team members and overseeing, delegating, and coordinating tasks across the Intake Coordination and Financial Coordination teams, with a focus on leading these functions within the US market.

In addition, the Senior Manager collaborates closely with the Sales and Patient Experience teams and is a vital part of the patient onboarding process. This role also involves working with vendors that support these teams. Responsibilities include preparing reports, analyzing productivity metrics, and identifying, planning, and executing process improvements. The Senior Manager supports the Revenue Operations team within a dynamic commercial organization specializing in oncology therapeutics.

 

This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director, Patient Administration, based in Portsmouth, NH, currently operating on a hybrid schedule (Mondays and Thursdays on-site). 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides strategic leadership of Intake Coordination and Financial Coordination teams
  • Develops and maximizes talent for the Intake Coordination and Financial Coordination teams
  • Focuses on establishing a culture consistent with Revenue Operations and Novocure values
  • Drives key initiatives for Intake Coordination and Financial Coordination teams
  • Establishes and maintains key relationships across cross-functional teams, including Sales, Patient Experience, Enterprise Technology, Marketing and Health Policy.
  • Oversees quality documentation control across all teams, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Works closely with leadership to identify technology change request opportunities and to support implementation of system changes
  • Follows-up with vendors and external partners to support ongoing projects as needed
  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure that the Patient Administration team is optimizing automation and technology to ensure high quality service for patients, providers and the internal sales team
  • Works closely with frontline leaders to drive metrics-based productivity
  • Engages with key leaders to update them on progress regarding major initiatives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Assists with design and preparation of reports and presentations containing project updates and business KPIs and metrics
  • Establishes standard processes and tools/templates used for training purposes
  • Acts as a primary contact for quality and audit departments
  • Acts as subject-matter expert for the Patient Administration function; models strong core values
  • Performs other function related duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a finance-focused background preferred
  • Relevant work experience in revenue cycle and customer facing medical setting
  • 4-6 years of leadership experience
  • 6-10 years experience in medical device field, DME experience
  • Familiarity with basic medical and insurance terminology
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SAP
  • Track record of success, as demonstrated by completion of projects of increasing complexity and/or increasing level of responsibility
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills required with demonstrated ability to lead front line leaders
  • Internal motivation to meet deadlines and deliver project objectives
  • Fluent with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Knowledge of operations and commercial practices in the oncology industry
  • Demonstrated success applying skills in change management, building consensus, and effectively supporting timely completion of deliverables and tasks across stakeholders
