Payroll Specialist EMEA, Location: Cracow, hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home office). Full time role, TEMPORARY 12-months position (contract of employment)
At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As a Payroll Specialist EMEA you will be responsible for a selection of countries of the overall operation of the EMEA payroll function (currently Switzerland, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, Austria, UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg and Belgium), including payroll coordination and processing through third-party vendors. Additionally the Payroll Specialist EMEA supports the further expansion into new regions and compensation and benefits related topics. The position is located in Krakow, Poland.
What You’ll Do
- Process payrolls for a selection of countries within EMEA (currently Switzerland, Germany, Poland, France, Sweden, Austria, UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Italy, Luxembourg and Belgium) according to applicable laws and regulations (with support of an external payroll provider), including:
-Monthly payroll processes and month-end close activities
-Year-end activities (e.g. various declarations, annual salary statements and processes)
-Ensure with the local payroll providers that all mandatory local requirements are met and that legal changes are implemented on the go
-Manage social security, taxes and other social insurances with respective vendors and the payroll provider
- Support the expansion within EMEA into new regions, payroll set-up of new locations
- Proactively optimize processes and operations in order to comply with internal and external policies and regulations and improve our ways of working (state-of-the-art payroll processes)
- Respond to payroll queries in a timely manner and in a way that aligns with our values
- Report (e.g. vacation and overtime accruals, overhead costs, pay ratio), provide key information to internal stakeholders
- Support the auditing of Payroll activities (e.g. SOX, OR, Social Security)
- Support the wider HR EMEA and Global HR organization with projects and ad hoc requests
- Collaborating successfully with internal and external stakeholders across the organization on a global level
About You
To thrive in this role if you will need these essential qualifications:
- About 4+ years of experience in managing payroll activities across multiple EMEA countries and managing outsourced payroll providers
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced multicultural and rapidly changing environment
- Knowledge of employment law, social insurances and tax regulations of relevant EMEA countries a plus
- Advanced Excel knowledge would be an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP Success Factors would be beneficial
- Ability to proactively identify and solve problems, with hands on attitude when it comes to investigating and finding solutions
- Advanced English (B2 level)
- Strong team player with hands-on mentality, service-oriented, analytical and detail-oriented working style
- Bachelor Degree in Business or Commercial Apprenticeship and further education in HR or equivalent

What We Offer
The annual base salary ranges from 120 000-144 000 PLN gross per annum.
This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
