At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Oncology Patient Support Specialist (internally referred to as Device Support Specialist), you’ll play a key part in this mission.

 

This is a field-based patient support role focused on delivering hands-on, 1:1 support to patients across Spain who are receiving Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy. You will work directly with patients and caregivers in their homes, supporting treatment initiation, device education, therapy optimization, and ongoing adherence.

 

This role requires a high level of autonomy and ownership. You will independently manage patient visits across your territory, coordinate logistics, troubleshoot technical challenges, and collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and cross functional teams to ensure the best possible patient experience.

 

The anticipated start date for this role is as soon as possible. The position is currently expected to run until the end of December 2026, with the possibility of becoming permanent depending on business needs.

 

The ideal location for this position is Barcelona, as the role will primarily support patients within that geographical area.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

 

In this role, you will:

  • Plan and conduct patient visits every 4 weeks (every 2 weeks for clinical trial patients) throughout Spain
  • Provide in-home training to patients and caregivers on TTFields device use
  • Reinforce and adjust training to optimize therapy adherence
  • Check and replace defective devices and manage equipment troubleshooting in collaboration with GTS
  • Interpret therapy device data
  • Support healthcare professionals during treatment initiation and Site Initiation Visits (SIV)
  • Participate in patient events and collaborate with fellow specialists
  • Perform administrative tasks and document interventions in CRM/SAP
  • Provide after-hours support as part of a weekend on-call rotation

 

ABOUT YOU

 

Minimum Requirement:

  • Nursing educational background
  • Minimum 3 years of direct patient treatment experience
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Spain (approximately 80%)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Technical aptitude and proficiency in Windows and MS Office
  • Full professional proficiency in Spanish
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
