The Marketing & Key Account Manager is essential in ensuring that Novocure’s highly innovative Optune Gio® therapy is explained and offered to all potential patients and HCPs. In alignment with Novocure’s marketing approach and ethical standards the role is both strategic and hands-on.

The Key Account & Marketing Manager (KAM) is responsible for driving adoption and awareness of TTFields therapy as a standard of care for Glioblastoma and future oncology indications across the Swedish healthcare system.

This hybrid role combines strategic marketing and key account management, working closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Patient Experience, Legal) to ensure alignment with the commercialisation strategy for Optune Gio®.

With a strong external focus, the role will work closely with Sweden’s Business Development Manager and identify and develop high-potential accounts, establish TTFields Centres of Excellence, and support their success in prescribing and integrating the therapy into clinical practice. The role also leads the planning and execution of local marketing initiatives, ensuring clear, compliant communication to healthcare professionals.

The position is based in Stockholm, this role reports to the General Manager of the Atlantic Hub (UK) and is both strategic and hands-on in ensuring patients have access to this innovative therapy.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Strategic Marketing & Brand Execution

  • Support local business planning with the cross-functional team, aligning to overall commercial strategy
  • Contribute to and execute the Swedish brand plan in line with company and ethical standards
  • Develop impactful, multichannel campaigns targeting patients and healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with Sales, Medical, Value & Access, Patient experience team and Global Marketing to create and approve compliant local content

Key Account Management & Market Development

  • Build with existing team strong relationships with key stakeholders across the Swedish healthcare system
  • Identify and engage high-potential prescribers to support patient access to TTFields therapy
  • Establish and develop Centres of Excellence, supporting successful therapy adoption and integration
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., neurosurgeons, oncologists, CNS teams) to embed TTFields into clinical pathways

Market Insights & Strategy

  • Gather insights through field engagement, advisory boards, and market research
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to optimise positioning and messaging
  • Use insights to inform strategy, account plans, and decision-making

Team Enablement & Campaign Activation

  • Drive adoption of marketing campaigns within the field team
  • Support ongoing training and capability development in collaboration with Medical
  • Track performance and implement feedback loops to optimise impact

Cross-functional Execution & Compliance

  • Coordinate internal and external activities, including congresses, events, and agency partnerships
  • Work closely with Patient Experience to ensure patient and caregiver support throughout treatment
  • Manage budgets effectively, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Ensure all activities comply with local regulations and Novocure quality and compliance standards

 

ABOUT YOU:

 

  • Strong understanding of the Swedish healthcare system, including regional structures, reimbursement pathways, and national guidelines (e.g., NT-rådet and TLV).
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies within healthcare, ideally in Sweden or the Nordic region.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience or familiarity with patient support programs; direct involvement is an advantage.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, innovative, and evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and proactivity in a hands-on, entrepreneurial setting.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Proven experience in account management, sales, or commercial/marketing roles within medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities under tight timelines.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.

 

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

 

  • Scientific degree (Pharmacy, Engineering, Life Sciences) with an additional qualification in Marketing or Business
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing & field within pharmaceuticals or medical devices ideally in Sweden
  • Familiarity with oncology is an advantage
  • Swedish + English language skills (any additional languages are a plus)
  • Strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with cross-functional responsibilities
