Senior Development Lead, UI/UX



The Senior Development Lead, UI/UX will be responsible for all front-end development of Novocure’s custom applications, ensuring design is translated to code that is scalable, secure and meets operational standards for performance and quality. The Senior Development Lead will provide thought leadership as Novocure builds out its Dev Ops organization. The Senior Development Lead will oversee all related services globally to ensure continuous operations for a 24X7 business and work cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their needs. The Senior Development Lead will be able to manage employees and/or vendors, drive organizational policies and direction, manage to their allocated budget and provide hands-on support of the application when needed. 


This is a full-time, exempt position located in our Malvern, PA office and reporting to Director, SAP.



  • Oversee team of software engineers providing technical leadership and strategic direction for the team
  • Ensure and review all code developed meets standards
  • Establish and enforce formal Coding Standard policy
  • Ensure all code completed by the team adhere to the change management policies
  • Provide quick and accurate estimates of project and enhancements
  • Collaborate with functional analyst on design and testing
  • Oversee completion of technical specifications
  • Establish and manage object documentation
  • Performance management and troubleshooting
  • Evaluate talent and skills of resources, mentor and coach staff, and develop job descriptions when needed
  • Responsible for software upgrade/version management
  • Establish and manage to application SLAs



  • BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or relevant applications experience
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript framework REACT
  • 10+ years overall IT experience
  • Experience with Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience with API management software
  • REST API web service
  • Comfortable with Git and SCM
  • Experience with Mobile solutions a plus
  • Experience with ABAP toolsets a plus
  • Experience with S4 Hana, ABAP toolsets & UI5 applications a plus
  • Experience with SAP Netweaver Gateway a plus
  • Background and experience in Healthcare/Life Science industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with global and regional user groups and functions worldwide
  • Proven ability to manage change and business integration
  • Ability to engage in the quality assurance process and business process improvement 
  • Sense of cultural sensitivity when interacting with colleagues
  • Good time, project management and presentation skills
  • Customer service-oriented, takes initiative in difficult situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate to technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to manage a project team and technical staff 
  • Strong business process and analytical skills
