JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly skilled Looker Dashboard Developer and Data Analyst with extensive experience in Looker, BigQuery and Power BI. In this role, you will design and develop interactive dashboards, optimize data models, and analyze complex datasets to drive business insights. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of visualization best practices, is comfortable working with large-scale data in Google BigQuery, and is adept at communicating findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain data visualizations and interactive dashboards in Looker and Power BI to support business decision-making.
- Data Modeling & LookML: Develop and optimize LookML models, ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
- BigQuery Expertise: Write and optimize SQL queries in Google BigQuery to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets efficiently.
- Cross-Platform Analytics: Develop cross-functional reports by integrating Looker, Tableau, and Power BI to cater to various business needs.
- Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product, marketing, finance, and engineering teams to understand business needs and translate them into robust data solutions.
- Data Quality & Governance: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple platforms through validation processes and monitoring.
- Automation & Optimization: Streamline reporting processes through automation, scripting, and best practices in visualization tools.
- Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation for Looker models, dashboards, and BI workflows.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, dashboard development, and data visualization using Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
- BigQuery Expertise: Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with Google BigQuery for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Looker Skills: Advanced knowledge of LookML, data modeling, and dashboard development.
- Tableau & Power BI: Proven ability to build advanced dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI, including experience with calculated fields, DAX, and data blending.
- Strong ability to design intuitive and insightful dashboards that tell a compelling data story.
- Strong analytical skills, with a solid understanding of statistics, data trends, and business intelligence concepts.
- Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms (Google Cloud Platform preferred). Python or R knowledge is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred:
- Certifications in Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD workflows.
- Familiarity with API integrations and embedding dashboards into web applications.
- Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
