Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers. Currently we are looking a seasoned Logistics and Car Fleet Procurement Manager to our office in Cracow, Poland.
JOB SUMMARY:
As the Logistics and Car Fleet Procurement Manager (LCFP) you will be responsible for driving procurement excellence in the Logistics and Car Fleet categories, representing approximately 80% and 20% of the role, respectively. You will lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management for global logistics (inbound, outbound, warehousing) and car fleet programs. You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Global Logistics, Customer Service, Corporate Fleet & Travel, Legal, HR, Finance, Quality, and IT to support business growth, ensure compliance, optimize costs, and drive innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistics Procurement (80%)
•Lead end-to-end sourcing and category management for inbound, outbound, and warehousing logistics, including road, air, and sea transport.
•Develop and implement global logistics procurement strategies aligned with supply chain and company objectives.
•Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers and 3PLs, ensuring best total value across cost, service levels, quality, and risk mitigation.
•Support implementation of procurement analytics to enable data-driven decision making and cost transparency.
•Partner with the Senior Manager Global Transportation & Customer Service EMEA on supplier strategy, continuous improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
•Support and drive regular freight tenders, performance reviews (QBRs/MBRs), and industry benchmarking.
•Ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and quality standards such as GDP and ISO applicable to MedTech logistics.
•Collaborate with legal and quality teams to ensure robust contracts, mitigate risks, and manage claims and non-conformances.
•Track and report key procurement metrics (cost savings, service performance, sustainability KPIs).
•Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain resilience, scalability, and patient service levels.
•Contribute to global transportation optimization and business continuity projects.
Car Fleet Procurement (20%)
•Partner with the Senior Manager, Global Corporate Fleet and Travel to manage global and regional car fleet supplier relationships and contract performance.
•Support the implementation of global and local car policies in collaboration with HR and regional stakeholders.
•Contribute to fleet optimization and sustainability goals, including electrification, cost transparency (TCO), and incident reduction programs.
•Assist in the selection and negotiation of leasing and fleet service agreements to drive global consistency and cost efficiency.
•Track and analyze fleet-related procurement data to identify trends and improvement areas.
•Ensure compliance with fleet-related corporate policies, supporting audits and reporting requirements.
YOUR PROFILE:
- 7+ years of relevant procurement experience, including about 3 years in logistics procurement.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and supplier management across multiple transport modes.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (GDP, ISO) in medical or MedTech logistics.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical skills and a track record of cost savings and operational improvements.
- Experience in working in matrixed, cross-functional, and global environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); German would be a plus.
- Experience with TMS, procurement analytics, and SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field would be a plus.
- Knowledge of car fleet management procurement, including leasing, electrification, and compliance would be a great advantage.
- Understanding of sustainability and ESG-related procurement initiatives.
- Exposure to the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
