Lead Automation Test Engineer, Location: Cracow, hybrid (3 days office, 2 days home office)

At Novocure, every role contributes to extending the lives of people living with cancer. As our new Lead Automation Test Engineer, you’ll play a key part in this mission. You will drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing frameworks across our enterprise systems. In this role you will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of applications including SAP S/4HANA, web platforms, mobile applications, and APIs(MuleSoft or similar).
What You’ll Do
- Lead the strategy, design, and implementation of automated testing frameworks and test plans across SAP S/4HANA, web, mobile, and APIs(e.g. MuleSoft)
- Collaborate closely with product, development, and DevOps teams to define test automation requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to support agile development cycles.
- Ensure full test coverage for functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
- Monitor and report on test execution, results, and key quality metrics; identify and drive resolution of defects.
- Advice to a development team and promote best practices in automated testing and quality assurance.
- Continuously evaluate emerging tools, technologies, and processes to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
About You
To thrive in this role if you will need these essential qualifications.
- 7+ years of experience in quality assurance with around 3+ years in a lead or senior automation role.
- Proven experience in automated testing for SAP S/4HANA systems, including Fiori apps and integrations.
- Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, TestNG, JUnit, UFT, Tosca).
- Experience testing web and mobile applications across various platforms (iOS, Android, browsers).
- Deep knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured) and familiarity with API (e.g. MuleSoft) testing and monitoring.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience integrating automated tests in CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
These additional qualifications are preferred
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, qTest, ALM) and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with Mendix Low Code Platform is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

What We Offer
The annual base salary ranges from 184 500 – 308 000 PLN gross per annum.
This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
