JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an experienced Head of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), to take ownership of Novocure’s global end-to-end P2P function, covering Purchasing Operations, Accounts Payable, payments, Travel & Expense, P2P systems support, and Contract Administration.

In this role, you will combine strategic direction with practical operational leadership, working closely with our teams in Cracow and stakeholders across regions. A key initial priority will be strengthening Purchasing Operations, helping the team manage changing business needs, establish clear priorities, and deliver reliable service.

You will work with existing managers to develop an effective global P2P operating model, strengthen governance and controls, and lead continuous improvement and technology-enabled change. This role calls for a leader who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders, develop managers, and work through detailed process or system issues with the team when needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the global end-to-end P2P function, ensuring consistent, timely, and controlled service delivery across Purchasing Operations, Accounts Payable, payments, Travel & Expense, P2P systems support, and Contract Administration.
  • Strengthen Purchasing Operations, establishing clear priorities, responsibilities, and ways of working that support changing business requirements and timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop and implement the global P2P strategy, service roadmap, and operating model, reviewing team structures and process ownership with existing managers and stakeholders to improve efficiency and coordination.
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and team members, adapting your approach to their development needs and supporting effective delegation, succession planning, and accountability.
  • Establish and monitor SLAs and KPIs, using performance data to identify service gaps, operational risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Own and maintain P2P governance, policies, procedures, work instructions, and controls, ensuring consistent application across regions and compliance with internal control, SOX, audit, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for P2P issues, working with teams and stakeholders to resolve problems and address root causes, including reviewing detailed processes and system transactions when required.
  • Lead the business and functional aspects of P2P transformation initiatives, partnering with Technology teams on system implementations, migrations, enhancements, and automation, while preparing teams for change and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Build strong partnerships with Sourcing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Technology, aligning priorities, resolving cross-functional issues, and supporting effective purchasing and contract administration processes.
  • Communicate performance, risks, and improvement plans to senior leadership and governance forums, and serve as a key contact for internal and external P2P audits.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership experience in P2P and/or Finance Operations within a multinational environment, including at least 8 years of people leadership experience and experience leading managers or supervisors.
  • Strong practical understanding of end-to-end P2P, with particular depth in Purchasing Operations and a sound understanding of Accounts Payable, payments, Travel & Expense, and related systems support.
  • Strong experience using ERP and purchasing systems within P2P, such as SAP, SAP Ariba, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience participating in a P2P system implementation, migration, or significant transformation as a business or functional leader, with responsibility for guiding a team through the change.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and implement governance, policies, procedures, controls, and performance measures in a controlled or audited environment.
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with detailed operational problem-solving and translate improvement plans into practical results.
  • Strong stakeholder management, presentation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, including confidence engaging with senior leadership across regions and cultures.
  • A collaborative and decisive leadership style, with the ability to develop managers, set clear expectations, prioritise competing demands, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Fluency in English.

PREFERRED:

  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or other business with physical products and purchasing requirements.
  • Experience with contract administration, contract lifecycle management, or related legal and sourcing technology, such as Ariba CLM.
  • Demonstrated success in global process standardisation, organisational improvement, automation, or GBS transformation.
