Researcher (Temporary Position – 9 Months)
About the role:
We are looking for a Researcher to join our Biology Research team within the Preclinical Department for a temporary 9-month position covering maternity leave.
In this role, you will contribute to basic scientific research focused on understanding cellular and molecular responses to electric fields, supporting Novocure's mission to advance innovative cancer therapies.
As part of a multidisciplinary research environment, you will design and execute in vitro experiments, analyze and interpret complex data, and generate high-quality scientific outputs that contribute to our preclinical research efforts.
This is a hands-on laboratory role for a highly organized and scientifically rigorous researcher who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about advancing scientific knowledge.
Success in this role means independently planning and executing experiments, delivering reliable and reproducible results, maintaining the highest scientific standards, and serving as a trusted research partner within the team.
This is a full-time position based at our R&D center in Haifa, Israel.
What you will do:
- Plan, design, and execute in vitro experiments in accordance with approved protocols and the highest scientific standards.
- Prepare experimental protocols and ensure accurate and timely execution of laboratory activities.
- Document experimental procedures, analyze and interpret results, and prepare clear scientific reports and summaries.
- Perform laboratory experiments in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) principles.
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records to ensure data integrity and reproducibility.
- Collaborate closely with team members to support ongoing research activities and scientific objectives.
- Contribute to a safe laboratory environment by maintaining personal and team safety standards.
What you will bring:
- PhD in Biological Sciences
- Hands-on experience with cell culture techniques.
- Experience in flow cytometry.
- Experience in confocal microscopy.
- Knowledge and experience in cancer research – an advantage.
- Excellent technical and analytical skills.
- Strong scientific rigor with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage laboratory activities .
