Electrical Engineer

Novocure is a global medical device company with R&D based in Haifa, Israel. 
The company is growing quickly as it commercializes TTFields therapy: a novel treatment for aggressive cancers using alternating electric fields.  As part of an effort to support Novocure’s product development and continuing engineering efforts, we are looking for an experienced Electrical engineer to 
join the engineering team, which is responsible for the developing of innovative medical devices and accompanying hardware applications.
This role will be involved in all hardware lifecycle – design, development, testing, etc.


Responsibilities for this position


  • Responsible for the design, development, and test of NovoCure's devices and subsystems.
  • To analyze requirements, identify required work, and estimate development tasks and timelines.
  • To perform in conjunction with the cross-functional development team to ensure the system meets operational requirements.
  • To provide design and develop product documentation inputs for technical writers.
  • Involve in digital and software requirements definition.
  • Responsible for writing interface control documentation.
  • Generating and reviewing technical product documentation.
  • To conduct hands-on bench testing and debugging of digital hardware.
  • Responsible for genearating the required data for the transfer to the manufacturing of the NovoCure's devices.
  • Responsible for the assembly of prototypes  of the NovoCure's devices under design and development.
  • Responsible for the verification and validation process assistance of the NovoCure's devices.
  • Responsible for compliance with NovoCure's design control process.
  • Responsible for product compliance with medical/applicable standards defined in each project.
  • To collaborate with other engineers, managers and Product Management teams to develop innovative solutions meeting market needs.


Requirements for this position:


  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical & Computer Engineering  or related field


  • Knowledge:
  • At least four years of previous experience in a similar position.
  • Previous experience working in medical equipment design development
  • Team player
  • Has the ability to think and research creatively
  • Shows strong knowledge of digital circuit design and at least basic knowledge of analog circuit design.
  • Language - C, Verilog
  • Software - Altium, MS OFFICE, MPLAB, MATLAB
  • Test equipment - logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope, function generator.
