Category Manager -Global Direct Sourcing,  Location: Cracow, hybrid

As the Category Manager, Global Direct Sourcing you’ll be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies, category management and contract life cycle management within the Global Direct Sourcing department. This role supports globally the spending categories related to Novocure TTF devices, i.e. arrays, durables, wearables, components, etc. under the supply chain department.

The Category Manager, Global Direct Sourcing is an integral part of the Global Sourcing organization and works closely with the Business and Operations leadership to drive best total value for Novocure. Furthermore, this role supports the Product Development, Engineering and Manufacturing departments in driving external innovation, by directly connecting and linking business needs with external capabilities, technologies, or products that fit into Novocure overall strategic plan.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Strategic Sourcing efforts for Supply Chain to include electronic manufacturing services, components, contract sterilizers, manufacturing & engineering services, test & calibration, accessories, off-the-shelf items.
• Develop and deliver the category strategies that are in alignment with Novocure corporate strategy and Supply Chain KPIs; to include identify and implement cost-down risk-reduction, and/or service-enhancing opportunities by sourcing (including qualification and selection of new providers) and negotiation with vendors for the purchasing of materials, equipment, and services used by Novocure globally.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders to identify Contractual needs and opportunities for enhanced service offering, providing Novocure with a competitive advantage, working directly with Novocure suppliers outlining partnership expectations consistent with Company Quality and Sourcing policies.
• Access and utilize all relevant market intelligence to stay current on facts impacting future models and strategies, as well as monitor the competitive landscape to keep abreast of emerging trends, supply/demand, industry changes and their overall impact to current and anticipated spend.
• Effectively communicate the sourcing strategies, spend analytics, as well as market intelligence to key stakeholders on a routine or as-needed basis.
• Develop and implement sustainable SRM and vendor governance program
• Contribute to the development of risk management strategies to increase awareness and ensure implementation of appropriate risk mitigation plans.
• Drive supplier-ESG-related initiatives in alignment with Corporate goals.

About You:

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Supply Chain/Finance and/or business administration or equivalent
• 7+ years of Strategic Sourcing of Direct Material within a regulated industry
• Deep experience with best-in-class sourcing processes and tools including the 7-step sourcing process

• Working knowledge of electronic manufacturing services, and with companies in Medtech / life sciences / wellness
• Strong negotiation & contracting skills
• Ability to interact effectively with various internal/external stakeholders with great communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build effective stakeholder relationships (both intercompany and externally), and rebalance business mindset with respect to adherence of policies while respecting all parties' business objectives and adding value.
• Knowledge of general manufacturing principles and practices, and of quality and regulatory requirements (cGMP, GMP’s, etc.)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to prioritize in an ever-changing environment
• Fluency in English, both in oral and in written communication, other EU languages will be an asset

What We Offer

The annual base salary ranges from 204 000- 286 000 PLN gross per annum.

This pay range is the range of base pay compensation within which Novocure expects to pay for this role at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge and skills demonstrated.
