Cash Application Specialist with German

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer and other types of solid cancers.

Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.

To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for a Cash Application Specialist with German.

About the role:

The EMEA Cash Application Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate transactional processing and oversight of key revenue cycle functions in compliance with internal and external audit parameters and for supporting monthly close cash posting processes. This position is responsible for collaborating with and supporting the Revenue Operations and Accounting teams.

Your responsibilities:

• Post incoming cash payments to outstanding accounts receivables
• Recognize and resolve complex payment scenarios
• Reconcile and review monthly reporting
• Produce and interpret ad-hoc reporting at management’s request
• Process write-offs and adjustments consistent with Novocure policies
• Perform month end closing procedures within established timeframes
• Communicate with manager in a timely manner regarding payer and account issues
• Identify and assist with team training needs
• Interpret Explanation of Benefits for all types of insurances
• Support and complete Cash posting related SOX controls
• Support and lead SAP Testing and general system/ process enhancements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and automate cash posting in all available markets through collaboration with IT and project leaders.
• Support/ Lead on complex EMEA AR project initiatives

Your Profile:

• Finance-focused background with relevant work experience in revenue cycle
• About 3-5 years’ experience in revenue cycle management, DME experience preferred
• Familiarity with basic medical and insurance terminology would be a plus
• Strong Microsoft Office and SAP skills
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in both English & German
• Detail-oriented, organized and works with a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced office setting
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, coursework in Accounting/Finance preferred
