Accounts Payable Junior Accountant

Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure Poland is our newest office in Europe and you will be part of a global business services team supporting multiple business functions including finance and payroll and located in Krakow. The global business services organization within Novocure Poland is critical to Novocure’s efforts to drive process efficiency, standardizations and drive greater business value as the company prepares for future growth.

To support our team in Krakow, Poland we are looking for an:

Accounts Payable Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant in the Accounts Payable Team, you will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities:

• Timely process PO and non-PO invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Prepare weekly payment runs for accounting management review.
• Review and resolve aged items report.
• Analyze and clear the GRIR report.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve process exceptions, tax queries, and general accounting day-to-day issues.
• Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Assist in global projects to identify improvements for automation and enhancement.
• Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards.

Your profile:

• A university degree, preferably in Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
• Experience in a similar position in an international company would be an asset.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and AP processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, would be an asset.
• Analytical and detail-oriented working style.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team player eager to learn, with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
